Want to find out more? Here’s what some of our current interns and graduates say about us…
"My typical day can vary depending on the season we are working to however it usually consists of researching for new trend information and analysing the catwalk shows. As time has moved on I have also been responsible for developing and designing new styles, getting involved in customer work and helping the rest of the team with any tasks they need doing.
I love everything about my placement especially having the opportunity to be part of a fast paced and modern company and working with an amazing team. Seeing our designs hit the stores is also very exciting and rewarding!"
"If I had to describe my placement in 3 words I would say it is fascinating, fun and challenging! It has given me an insight into the real world of fashion and how quickly it goes from design to sample to production to stores. Having the opportunity to get involved at every stage of this process and seeing it develop has been so rewarding. It has also been amazing to work closely with people in China, the customers and the girls I have met on the teams!"
"My biggest takeaway from my placement so far is having the opportunity to be part of the design meetings with the customer. I have also enjoyed creating mood boards, range sheets and designing for our key customers. It was a great opportunity to go on the Shima Seiki extensive training as I have been using this software the majority of my placement year for Autumn/Winter Novelty samples.
If you are lucky enough to secure a placement at LF Europe & LF Americas my advice would be to not be afraid to ask questions and to be confident to use your initiative. Also to enjoy your placement while you can as the time goes so quickly!"
"During my internship I really enjoyed being able to implement my own style and creativity into the graphic and creative design of Brand Attic. This gave me the opportunity to see my own work being used in a real fashion e-commerce business.
I would recommend doing an internship at LF Europe & LF Americas, the amount I learned during the 3 months was staggering from learning how a fashion business to working with such a welcoming team. It's the best decision I have made since graduating as I have now been taken on a permanent full time employee!"
"I love my role in the photo studio as it is varied, fast paced and creative! The team have been so kind and welcoming from my first day and they have given me the opportunity to work in my own way and to inject my own creativity and ideas. I love being part of the photo shoots where I help to set the direction, support the stylists and select the best images for the customer. I have had the opportunity to work with a great team and I have learned a lot from them!"
"The most satisfying part of my role is when my own ideas are considered and taken further. When my artwork designs are produced and people from different departments are talking about my work this helps me to improve my skills and knowledge and to grow in confidence. It is also so rewarding when I see people out and about wearing the garments I have worked on!"
